Liftroller Wall at the Skanska project “Åsamyrane 320” in Asane, Norway

Skanska AS has taken on the task of converting retail spaces in “Åsamyrane 320” for tenants, utilising Liftroller to quickly and easily load materials into the second floor.

Project Overview

Remodeling of the Shopping Center

The large Jula store in the second floor will move down to the first, while the second floor will be divided into smaller spaces and converted. Large amounts of building materials such as studs and gypsum boards are needed for this, which led Skanska to use the Liftroller system to transport the materials. Building materials were lifted directly from the hiab to Liftroller Wall, and rolled through the facade to the floor where they would be used.

Efficient Material Deliveries

The setup and external conditions on this project were spacious and did not pose major challenges. Access to the second floor via existing escalator was easy, but transporting long material lengths through the sliding door and up the escalator was time-consuming and cumbersome. The stud packages were over 5 meters in length and had to be transported one by one and maneuvered around tight corners inside. This took a lot of time and effort. By removing a window section in the facade and installing Liftroller, they were able to roll in entire packages of studs quickly, easily, and safely, rather than handling them one by one. This allowed carpenters to use their time more efficiently and start building more quickly, rather than spending time hauling materials. The Liftroller system for this project consisted of the Liftroller Wall loading ramp and the Liftroller Wagon material cart.
